The Pumpkin Patch

We got to go to the Pumpkin Patch with some of my Grandparents and Samantha got to spend some time with her cousins Rikki, Tyler and Savannah. I think that her favorite thing was getting to ride on the little ponies...and of she was spoiled and got to do it twice. There were also really big bouncy slides that the kids spent about 30 minutes on. Of course we all had fun just watching them and at the end Grandpa bought them each their own pumpkin to take home!!!

I am so grateful to have these people in my family...Love you ALL!!!

Pumpkin Painting!!!

Samantha is still too little to enjoy pumpkin carving so I let her go to town painting the pumpkin she picked out on her field trip!! I put down a layer of newspaper on the floor inside since is was too cold outside and she had a blast. She did such a good job and after it dried I let her put little pumpkin, ghost and spider stickers all over it so!! Samantha is still so proud of her pumpkin and I am sure there will be a melt down the day we have to throw it away...

First Field Trip!!!

Samantha got to go on her First Trip with her little preschool class to Irvine Park Railroad!! I was just excited that the weather finally let up the week we went so we could all go and have FUN!! All the kids got to go on a train ride and a hay ride around the park which they all absolutely loved!! Then is was over to the Pumpkin Patch where there was a hay maze, a haunted house and lots and lots of pumpkins!! Samantha went in the haunted house one time but wouldn't go through it again with all her little friends...she said it was too 'scary'. Samantha picked out her pumpkin and we went home to decorate it...

Showing me her wrist band for all the activities.

The cutest Three Little Pigs I have ever seen.

I can't even believe our little girl is getting and that I am actually taking her to preschool. I makes me happy to see her playing with all of her friends and doing things on her own but at the same time I am sad because I know this is only the beginning and she already doesn't need Mommy anymore....

Pumpkin Carving

It was a little early and I only say that because we already had to throw them away from the yucky mold growing on them...but with all the pumpkin patches around we just couldn't help but be in a pumpkin carving mood!!!
So everyone picked the PERFECT pumpkin and we took them home to get started on our masterpieces....

Don't be fooled by our 'skills'....we used stencils but I think they came out awesome if I do say so myself!! The one on the left of Skeleton and Cat Friends was done by the team of Tarah and myself. She cleaned out the guts and I carved. Jason did one of the Howling Wolf in the center and my Mom did the Haunted House one on the right!!
It would have been nice for them to make it to Halloween but they were pretty awesome to look at while they lasted!!

(All Lit Up)
The pumpkin seeds did not go to waste...I picked apart all the guts to find all the seeds, dried them in the sun and then roasted them in the oven with lots of salt and seasonings!!!
They were so yummy!!!!!!

It has been a while....

....and we have been a bust little family!!!
Samantha and I have been having a blast with our Mommy and Me preschool. She just can't get enough of it!! We have also been spending a LOT of time at the park with the weather being so nice around here. Then there is our very frequent Disneyland trips...we even got to spend some time with Solis Family the last time we went. Uncle Dodo and Auntie Jessica's birthdays have come and gone and we had a blast celebrating with both of them!!!

I just thought this picture was so cute and I couldn't resist posting it....Samantha is growing so fast and I really wish it could just slow down so I could keep her a t this age for a little longer.

Uncle Dodo took us to his company picnic this last weekend and Samantha had a blast with all the stuff that they had to do for kids...there were lots of animals out and about for her to pet and a BIG blow up slide that Gaga took her down and even a little petting zoo with goats and chickens and bunnies and ducks and a pig. Samantha just loves animals...

The Adventures of Baby Doll....

....at Disneyland!! Yes, we went to Disneyland again but I just can't help myself. This time Samantha insisted that her baby doll come along and go on all the rides with her. So baby doll rode the Tram into Disneyland on Samantha's lap....

...then she hid with Samantha as we went down the drops in Pirates of the Caribbean (this is the funniest thing because Samantha knows that there are 2 drops at the beginning of this ride so she hides in someone's lap until they are over and then she gets up and starts singing and dancing) ...

...and then she had fun playing in the line for the Haunted Mansion!!!

Samantha with her Aunties!!

Now of course we can't take a trip to Disneyland without this little girl being spoiled and this trip was NO exception....she got a Mickey Mouse rice crispy treat and a new baby Marie stuffed animal from Auntie Jessica. We had a great afternoon riding a few rides and watching the parade...this trip being only us girls just like it was the first time we went almost a year ago!!!

I just want to make a side note and say that baby doll did go on all of the rest of the rides with us and watch the parade from atop my shoulders with Samantha.

Sleepover!!

A few weekends ago Samantha got to have her first sleepover with Ben and Jennie!! We spent a LOT of time at the park down the street, had pizza for dinner, watched movies before falling asleep and then it was pancakes and cinnamon rolls for breakfast!!!

They all had so much fun playing together that no one wanted to say goodbye when it was time for them to go home.....we will definitely have to do it again!!!
